Fall is just around the corner, and we’re excited to share literary news from our authors and staff!
Author of Coral in the Diaspora Jerrice J Baptiste has two upcoming events. On September 14th, Jerrice will be the featured reader with the Woodstock Poetry Society in Woodstock, NY. On September 27th, she will be participating in The Vassar Haiti Project event in Poughkeepsie NY.
Forthcoming Abode author MICHAEL CHANG's full-length poetry collection TOY SOLDIERS is officially out with Action, Spectacle. MICHAEL CHANG will also be doing readings in New York City on September 29, September 30, October 3, and many other dates TBA. You can keep up with their literary events at MCHANGPOET.
Author of Quererme en La Luz Farrah Fang was included in Letras Latinas’ “29 Books by Latinx Poets From the First Half of 2024.” The THIRD BULLSHIT ANTHOLOGY from Bullshit Lit includes work from Farrah Fang and MICHAEL CHANG.
Farrah’s poetry can also be found in new words {press} issue 4, along with Poetry Editor SG Huerta and Virtual Retreat alum Toni Garcia-Butler. SG also has two poems in smoke and mold issue 10.
Forthcoming Abode author Angelica Davila has been accepted for a Sundress Academy for the Arts residency later this year.
Fiction reader Tenacity Plys’s graphic novella SN_33P'sCoolZine.pdf is officially out with fifth wheel press!
Hybrid reader Eleanor Ball’s speculative poem “The Skeleton Cafe” was published in Orion's Belt.
Poetry reader Isaac Salazar was featured as Brooklyn Poets’ Poet of the Week. Two of Isaac’s poems are also in Issue 8 of Honey Literary, alongside a poem by past workshop leader Devi Sastry.
Copy editor Tanya Thamkruphat has two visual/hybrid poems in Milk Press.
Hybrid reader C. M. Green reviewed Dayspring by Anthony Oliviera in manywor(l)ds.
Poetry reader Jordan Alejandro Rivera’s poem “Dyscalculia” was published in HAD.
