Happy solstice from sunny Texas!
We’re excited to start our first press update newsletter by announcing the launch of Abode’s website. You can learn about our values, meet our board and masthead, and start getting your chapbooks ready for August 15th with our submission guidelines.
The short version: we want your poetry, prose, and everything in between that reminds us of home and culture. And because we are a press that is run by and for marginalized writers and editors, our submission fees will be sliding scale. All submission fees go towards bringing vital books to life. More info can be found on our site!
If you still want to support our upcoming launch but don’t have anything ready to send just yet, you can also donate to Abode Press. We are a 501(c)3 organization, which means all donations are tax deductible.
In case you missed it, you can learn more about how Abode Press came to be in our last feature, an interview with Founder & Director Diamond Braxton.
We also want to highlight literary happenings around and beyond our home of Texas.
