December Press Updates
Wrapping up our first reading period, AWP details, + an exciting announcement!
Chapbook Submissions Closed 11/30
We got almost 200 chapbook submissions in our first ever writing period. WOW! Thank you so much to everyone who trusted us with their words, and thank you to our readers and editors! We hope to make our final decisions by early January.
Workshops - Proposals Open Until 12/31
At Abode, we believe offering affordable workshops is important so all writers can have access to writing tools and community engagement. All of our workshops are virtual and are offered on a sliding scale, starting at $10.
We are currently accepting proposals for our 2024 lineup of workshops! We are looking for workshops from writers/leaders that align with our core values: anti-racism, anti-colonialism, intersectionality, and empathy. In addition, we love workshops that take risks, defy genre, and subvert our expectations. More details about payment structure can be found at the proposal link.
Huge thank you to Ariana Brown for leading an incredible workshop on prose poems last weekend!
